• About ME

Zena Marchant has always been interested in environmentalism and sustainability. This interest led her to a career in the construction industry, where she has worked for LaGuardia Gateway Partners since 2016. In that time, she has held two positions within the company: environmental compliance and sustainability coordinator and project manager. The latter is a position she currently holds, and one that has seen her work on the new LaGuardia airport terminal. The terminal achieved LEED v4 Gold status in January 2021, making it the first airport terminal in the world with that designation. Nearly all new construction materials are made from recycled debris from previous construction projects, which helps reduce energy consumption by 18%. Additionally, the design reduces expected water usage by an impressive 43%.
